VietCycle accompanies the "Hanoi Women's Day for Waste Sorting and Management"
"Capital Women's Day for Waste Sorting and Disposal" promoted waste sorting and disposal practices among officials, women's union members, and the public, encouraging effective models and good practices to expand their impact. This effort aligned with a nationwide environmental cleanup following storms and floods under the principle “clean up as the water recedes,” aimed at restoring normalcy and preventing disease.

Mrs. Phạm Thị Mỹ Hoa, Vice President of the Hanoi Women's Union.
Mrs. Phạm Thị Mỹ Hoa, Vice President of the Hanoi Women's Union, noted that in recent years, Hanoi has actively promoted environmental protection movements and developed climate adaptation strategies. Each local women's union has implemented practical environmental protection activities, supporting initiatives such as “Building 5 No’s, 3 Cleans Families” and “Capital Women Uphold Beautiful Conduct.”
Many effective models and practices have been developed and scaled up, including initiatives like “Trading Recyclables to Keep Hanoi Green and Fundraising,” “Transforming Waste Spots into Women-Managed Gardens,” and “Clean Fields.” The "Household Waste Sorting and Processing" model has been implemented in all 18 suburban districts and some urban areas. Other initiatives, such as “Civilized Waste Stations” and “Green Homes,” are expanding in neighborhoods and community centers to support solid waste collection for recycling.
VietCycle was honored to join the launch event with meaningful cooperative activities. In addition to donating home waste sorting bins, VietCycle provided waste sorting training for nearly 200 members of the Hanoi Women's Union.
