Public-Private Collaboration (PPC)
promotes building a circular economy for plastic waste

Formed from the agreement to establish Public Private Partnership (PPC) on building a circular economy in plastic waste management in Vietnam, PPC to promote the building of a circular economy for plastic waste according to the public-private partnership model was established under Decision No. 1150/QD-BTNMT dated May 21, 2020.
Recognizing
the adverse impacts of plastic waste on both terrestrial and marine environments, as well as its effects on the environment, economic development, human health, and essential needs, there is a need for collective action to address the issue of plastic pollution.
Emphasizing
the importance of efficient resource utilization, this involves implementing a circular economy, managing product life cycles, and accessing sustainable raw materials.
Furthermore
highlighting the significance of collaboration among relevant parties, sharing knowledge, transferring technology, raising community awareness, and promoting innovation are essential in addressing the plastic waste problem.
Missions

PPC is responsible for advising the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on policies and solutions to build a circular economy for plastic waste according to the public-private partnership model.

Activities will be coordinated by the Head of PPC. The Legal Department is assigned to be the standing working group and at the same time, the Director of the Department - Mr. Phan Tuan Hung is a group leader representing the public sector. The leader of the private sector representative group is assigned to the leader of Unilever Vietnam International Company Limited.
